My name is Carilyn Fukura. I have been a musician my entire life. As the youngest of four children, I was carted to my siblings' music lessons as an infant and actually began taking violin lessons when I was 18 months old. I continued violin lessons until I was 8 years old. Then at 10, I started taking piano lessons. In total, I have 10 years of private piano education. I also have sung in choir since I was 5 years old. My love for music continued to grow and led me to pursue a music degree, with a focus on vocal performance. In 2006 I graduated from Central Washington University with a BA in Music. After college, I began a music studio in Woodinville, WA where I offered voice and piano lessons to all ages. After four years of teaching, God decided to bless us with twin boys and I decided to shift my focus to motherhood. Today, my boys are six and entering 1st grade, and my daughter will be starting preschool. I am excited to reopen my studio and use my gifts to train more budding musicians.
